Pro hac vice Please be aware that as of September 1, 2003, any out-of-state attorney who is not a member of the State Bar of Texas must pay a fee of $250 per case to the Board of Law Examiners PRIOR TO requesting permission from the judge to participate in proceedings in a Texas Court. The Board of Law Examiners will provide to the out-of-state-attorney a letter of acknowledgment that the fee has been paid. The acknowledgment letter will need to be included with the written motion to the Texas Court in which the out-of-state attorney is requesting permission to participate. Information on the new Pro Hac Vice Admission can be found at the Board of Law Examiners website: http://www.ble.state.tx.us/atty_us/rule19notice2.htm |
